Prysmian to showcase wide range of cables and specific Energy Systems for the
Oil and Gas Industry ad ADIPEC 2008
Prysmian is to showcase its latest technological innovations, specifically
designed for the Petrol and Petrochem industry, at this year’s
ADIPEC, one of the most influential shows in the Oil & Gas sector.
Plant & Petrochem, Offshore, Submarine and
Umbilical cables, together with the
AirguardTM Cable System and
FP® range of fire resistant cables, will be on display on stand 35, in Hall 9 at
next week’s show taking place in Abu Dhabi from the 3rd to 6th November 2008.
ADIPEC represents an excellent opportunity to reinforce Prysmian’s strong presence in the
Middle East region, where the Company is already carrying out several strategic power cable
projects, particularly in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Bahrain. The Middle East is a key
area for Prysmian’s expansion strategy, especially in the high value-added markets, where special
products and services are required, including extra high voltage and submarine cables and systems,
industrial cables for the Oil & Gas industry (onshore and offshore) and fire resistant cables
for constructions. Prysmian’s product portfolio at ADIPEC will focus on its wide range of
product:
-
Offshore and
Plant & Petrochem cables, which include complex and integrated energy power,
control and instrumentation systems for chemical, petrochemical, power or industrial plants.
- The innovative
Airguard™ Cable System, a range of cables specifically developed to offer
significant improvement in the mechanical protection of cable, guaranteeing the same level of
protection against aggressive fluids such as hydrocarbons, oils, fuels, acids and bases.
-
Submarine cable solutions for applications such as interconnections between high
voltage networks, neutral or artificial islands and the mainland, and connections to, or between,
off-shore oil production facilities.
-
FP® range
of fire resistant cables, designed and manufactured to meet the most demanding
requirements and standards, to ensure safety and safe operation under conditions of fire, together
with
Umbilical cables, manufactured in the industrial facility in Vila Velha, Brazil,
which has recently celebrated its first year of operations with significant successes including
contracts with StatoilHydro and Anadarko Petroleum Corporation's Peregrino.
