Message from the CEO

BATTISTA_02

The milestone transaction between Prysmian and Draka has been closed successfully and the task of integrating our two businesses is now underway. As a result of the combination we now have a presence across 50 countries with 97 plants supported by about 22,000 employees. We have also significantly expanded our product and service offer in terms of products, brands, technologies and most importantly, customer service.

The milestone also represents a significant step forward in the process of spreading innovation throughout the entire cable and wire industry. Our companies have a long history and have always been at the forefront in striving to meet evolving customer needs; I am proud to be able to say that once more we are leading the change.

During the integration period our top priority will be to continue to deliver outstanding products and services to our customers. Equally important is our commitment to keep all our stakeholders informed of developments during integration and to be timely and transparent in our communication. In this new One Company section of our website you will find key facts and figures about the combined organisation and some of the milestone projects we are most proud of. We also provide a regular update on the status of integration. On this important subject, I am pleased to say that we are making good progress with integration and our path to creating the world’s number one cable maker is firmly on track.
